Sahabuddin Will Be Laid to Rest at Banani Cemetery

Former President and Chief Justice Sahabuddin Ahmed died at the CMH Hospital in Dhaka on Saturday. He will be buried at Banani Cemetery in the capital on Sunday (March 20).

This information was given by his son-in-law Professor Ahaduzzaman of Dhaka University on Saturday afternoon after the death of the former Chief Justice.

He said the first janaza would be held on Sunday at his village home Netrokona. Then the second janaza will be held in the Supreme Court. He will be buried at Banani Cemetery later.

He died at the CMH Hospital in Dhaka on Saturday morning. He was 92 years old at the time of his death.

Sahabuddin Ahmed’s two sons live with their father in Gulshan. Her two daughters are currently in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Justice Sahabuddin Ahmed was born on 1 February 1930 in Pemai village of Kendua upazila of Netrokona district. His father’s name was Talukdar Risat Ahmed; He was known as a social worker and philanthropist in the area.
