Dhaka, Adjacent Areas to Suffer Gas Shortage from Eid Day to Next 48 Hrs

Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in Bangladesh on Tuesday (May 3). On the day of Eid, the gas supply will be cut off in many areas from 10 pm to the next 48 hours till 5 May. At the same time, there will be insufficient gas supply in some areas including the capital.

This was stated by Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited.

According to sources, gas supply to Amin Bazar, Hemayetpur, Savar, Savar EPZ, Ashulia, and Manikganj Dhamrai areas will be cut off for the next 48 hours from 10 pm on Tuesday. Besides, low pressure of the gas will prevail in Gabtali, Mazar Road, Kalyanpur, Shyamoli, Mirpur, Mohammadpur, and Dhanmondi areas.

Titus Gas apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause customers.

According to Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company, Limited, gas supply will be cut off from area to area for emergency maintenance work on transmission and distribution lines. It may also take up to 10 pm on May 5 to supply gas as per demand in some areas of Dhaka.
