PM Mourns Death of Legendary Journalist Abdul Gaffer Chowdhury

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of veteran journalist, columnist, poet, and writer Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury.

Chowdhury won the hearts of Bangalees by writing the celebrated Ekushey song "Amar Bhaier Rokte Rangano Ekushey February".

In a message of condolence, the premier prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Chowdhury breathed his last at a London hospital this morning (Thursday morning).
