Double Murder: Mastermind Musa Brought Back to Country from Oman

Sumon Sikder alias Musa, the mastermind behind the assassination of Awami League leader Zahidul Islam Tipu and college student Samia Afran Prity in Shahjanpur, has been brought back to the country from Oman.

Musa was brought back to the country on a Bangladesh Biman flight on Thursday (June 9).

According to intelligence sources, Musa was brought to Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram on a flight of Bangladesh Biman around 9 am on Thursday. The process of bringing him to Dhaka from there is going on.

Detectives believe that important information about Tipu's murder will be obtained from Musa.

An official of the detective police said that after the legal process, the details will be given to the media.

It may be mentioned that Zahidul Islam was killed in a random shooting at the Amtala Mosque area of ​​Shahjahanpur in the capital on the night of March 24 in a dispute over control of the party and the criminal gang in the Motijheel area. College student Samia Afrin Prity, 22, who was sitting in a rickshaw at the time, was also shot dead.

A three-member police team led by Shahidur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner of the Motijheel Division of the Detective Branch, went to Oman on Sunday (June 4th) to bring Musa back.

Earlier, on May 10, the National Central Bureau (NCB) at the police headquarters requested the NCB in Oman to arrest Musa. He was later arrested by Oman police on May 17.
