Keeping
in mind the issue of power saving, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry
of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources held a meeting keeping lights and AC off.
Today
Tuesday (July 19) the 28th meeting of the committee was held in the cabinet
room of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban around 5 pm.

has been held in the Parliament building with the AC turned off to save
electricity.
Wasika
Ayesha Khan, Member of Parliament from reserved women's seat, president of the
committee, said, "Keeping in mind the instructions of the Prime Minister
regarding saving electricity, we held the meeting today by switching off the

"This
could be an example of the ongoing situation," she said.
In the
meeting, there was a detailed discussion about the activities of the Chief
Electricity Inspection (CEI) office and its role in the overall power
