Govt Issues Circular on IGP Benazir’s Retirement

The government has issued an official circular saying that Inspector General of Police Benazir Ahmed will be retiring on September 30. 

The Public Security Division of the home ministry issued a circular in this regard on Thursday. 

IGP Benazir Ahmed will reach retirement age on September 30 and in keeping with the law is going into post-retirement leave (PRL). 

He will be succeeded by Rapid Action Battalion Director General Abdullah Al Mamun.
