UNO Crashes Football Trophy in Bandarbans

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mehruba Islam allegedly crashed a football trophy in Ali Kadam upazila in Bandarbans.

Local sources said, an Inter-Union Football tournament was organized by Shawdhin Juba Samaj at Reparpara Govt Primary School field on Friday evening (September 23). Meanwhile, the Chief gust of the program, the UNO destroyed the football tournament. Later, footage of the incident went viral in social media.

Following the issue, Upazila Parishad Vice-Chairman Kafil Uddin said, the football match referee signaled a tie-breaker as both sides failed to score any goal. Later, ‘Abashik Junior’ beat ‘Reparpara Bazar’ by 3-1 goal. But the spectators refused to accept the match result. At one stage, the UNO destroyed the trophy breaking it at the venue.

Confirming the matter, UNO Mehruba Islam said, a vested quarter published the a small part of the video avoiding main scene.
