Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will participate in a state dinner hosted by United States President Joe Biden. Bangladesh's government head will join the dinner ceremony on September 19th.
Today, on Sunday, September 17th, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina departed for New York, United States, to attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
At 10:12 AM local time, the Prime Minister and her entourage left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a special Biman Bangladesh Airlines VVIP flight. She will be stationed in New York from September 17th to 22nd. After a four-hour layover at Heathrow Airport in London, the flight is scheduled to arrive at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York at 10:50 PM local time on September 17th.
Upon arrival, Bangladesh's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Muhammad Abdul Muhith, and Bangladesh's Ambassador to the United States, Mohammad Imran, will welcome the Prime Minister. On September 19th, the Prime Minister will attend the General Debate of the 78th UNGA.
During her stay in New York, the Prime Minister will also hold bilateral talks with various world leaders and join several high-level events. On September 22nd, she is scheduled to address the UNGA.
