Anwarul Azim Anar, a member of the Jhenaidah-4 constituency in Parliament, has had three suspects arrested in connection with his murder remanded for eight days by the court. This decision was made by Dhaka's Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Dilruba Afroz, who is also the Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka, on Friday evening (May 24).
The state's lawyer, Abdus Sattar Dulal, confirmed the matter to journalists.
The remanded individuals are Syed Amanullah Aman, alias Shimul Bhuiya, Faisal Ali Sajee, alias Tanvir Bhuiya, and Shilasti Rahman.
Earlier in the afternoon, at 2:00 PM, three suspects were brought before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court in Dhaka. At that time, the police's Senior Assistant Commissioner Mahfuz applied for a 10-day remand for thorough investigation of the case.
