The trial for the murder of Anwarul Azim (Anar), a member of the Jhenaidah-4 constituency in West Bengal, India, will take place in Bangladesh. This was stated by Abdus Sattar Dulal, the state's lawyer, before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court in Dhaka on Friday, May 24th.

As the murder took place in India, it was queried whether the trial would be held there or in Bangladesh. Dulal stated that the trial would be held in Bangladesh, considering legal aspects. He emphasized that trials are conducted based on the nationality of the victim. However, investigations will also occur in India.

Earlier, Anwarul Azim was present as a state lawyer when three suspects in the murder case were brought before the court. They were remanded for eight days after the hearing.

Responding to journalists' queries, Abdus Sattar Dulal explained that Anwarul Azim was abducted with the intention of murdering his daughter. The abduction case led to the court summoning the three suspects today.

The accused are identified as Shimul Bhuiyan alias Shihab alias Fazl Mohammad Bhuiyan alias Amanullah Sayeed, Tanvir Bhuiyan, and Shilasti Rahman. Each of them has requested a ten-day remand.

The court has cautioned each defendant and directed that they be interrogated according to the guidelines of the High Court. When asked about the timing of the murder case, Dulal mentioned that once the mystery behind the murder is unraveled, it will be transformed into a murder case. Currently, it remains an abduction case.
