Mother, Son murdered in Bogura Hotel

From a residential hotel room in Banani area of Bogura city police recovered the bodies of a woman and her 11-month-old son. The authority of Shuvechha residential hotel informed the police about the incident around 11:30 am on Sunday (June 2).

A team of police was sent to the spot after being informed about the incident. The deceased are Ashamoni, 25, and her 11-month-old son Abdullah Al Rafi, Abul Kalam Azad, inspector (investigation) of Shahjahanpur Police Station, told the media.

He said the woman along with her husband hired a room in the Shubhechchha hotel yesterday.

On information, police went to the scene and recovered their bodies.

Police detained the child's father Azizul Haque, a soldier of Bangladesh Army, following the incident, he added.

Initially, it is believed that the woman and her baby were killed sometime last night, the OC said.
