MP Mohul Distributed Seeds And Fertilizers Among 2400 Farmers In Jhenaidah

For free onion and paddy seeds as well as fertilizers have been distributed among 2400 small and marginal farmers in Jhenaidah to boost up the cultivation and production of onion and Ropa Aman (Ufshi) paddy in summer based season. Onion and paddy seeds and fertilizers were distributed from the agriculture department at Sadar Upazila Parishad premises today, on Tuesday (June 4).

As Chief Guest Member of Parliament for Jhenaidah-2 Constituency Nasser Shahrear Zahedee Mohul was present at this time.

The program was chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Razia Akhtar Chowdhury. 

Under the incentive program of the Department of Agriculture for the current Kharif-1/2024-25 season, 1 kg of improved summer onion seeds, 20 kg of DAP fertilizer, 20 kg of MOP have been distributed among 2 thousand 400 farmers of 17 unions and 1 municipality of Sadar Upazila.Besides, 5 kg of improved varieties of Aman (Ufshi) paddy, 10 kg of DAP fertilizer and 10 kg of MOP also are being distributed.

Deputy Director of District Agriculture Directorate Shasthi Podo Roy, Upazila Agriculture Officer Noor-e-Nabi, Sadar Upazila Additional Agriculture Officer Muhammad Junaid Habib and others were present in the programme.
