MP Mohul Proposes For The Extension Of Rail Route Upto Jhenaidah

Jhenaidah-2 Constituency lawmaker Md Nasser Shahrear Zahedee Mohul has proposed to connect the Jhenaidah city to Mubarakganj or through Darshana station of Chuadanga district of Faridpur Madhukhali upto the Magura under the railway project.

On Wednesday (June 5) in the national parliament, he placed this proposal under the 71 rules of important public questions.

Nasser Shahrear Zahedee said, "Although there are railway stations in all the district towns around my constituency of Jhenaidah-2 but here is still no railway station in the district town of Jhenaidah. If the government connects Darshana station in Chuadanga district via Madhukhali in Faridpur then about fifty lakh people of our and surrounding districts will be benefited."

He said, if Jhenaidah district comes under the railway facility, a new dimension will be added to the transportation of goods along with public transportation.

The MP said, marginal farmers of Harinakunda upazila of Jhenaidah and some adjacent districts will also get the opportunity to transport rice, vegetables, betel leaves and flowers as well as other agricultural products very easily at a very low cost. 

He said, The farmers of this district also will be benefitted financially and they will be able to influence the overall economy of Jhenaidah and the country.

In this situation, he proposed to connect the railway construction project to Magura via Faridpur Madukhali with Jhenaidah with extending it to Mubarakganj in Kaliganj or Darshana station in Chuadanga district. 

At this time in the parliament MP Mohul drew the attention of the Railway Minister in this regard.
