Forty-five Bangladeshi nationals who had been imprisoned for different periods arrived home in the morning by Myanmar Navy ship. 134 members of Myanmar's BGP and army forces who fled to Bangladesh will return to Bangladesh on that ship. The Bangladeshis reached Cox's Bazar around 9:30 am on Sunday. Earlier this morning, 134 members of Myanmar's BGP and army personnel were taken to BIWTA Jetty in Cox's Bazar Municipality.

Meanwhile another 134 members of Myanmar’s Border Guard Police (BGP) and military personnel, who had sought refuge in Bangladesh due to the prolonged conflict between the country’s military and the armed rebel group, have been sent back.

Sources from the Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) and the administration said that around 7am on Sunday, four buses carrying the BGP and military personnel arrived at the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) jetty in Cox's Bazar and they were repatriated around 10am.

These members of Myanmar's government forces were transported by a tugboat to a Myanmar Navy ship stationed at the sea.
