The Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport has been closed for six hours from 5:30 pm on Monday.
No aircraft will take off or land at this time and the terminal will be closed, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
Earlier, the closure was confirmed on Monday by Group Captain Kamrul Islam, the Executive Director of HSIA.
The airport, located in Dhaka, is a crucial hub for both domestic and international travel, making this closure particularly impactful.
After the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, many people have entered the airport, sources said.
