All Police Units Have Been Ordered To Join Within 24 Hours

The newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP), Md Mainul Islam, has directed all police personnel to report to their respective duty stations across the country by Thursday.

He said these things in a press conference organized at the police headquarters on Wednesday (August 7) ​​afternoon.

He said, policemen across the country have been ordered to return to their respective police lines, offices, POMs and barracks by Thursday (August 8) evening.

The new IGP said that the police could not fulfill their duties as per the expectations of the countrymen based on the logical movement of anti-discrimination students. Because of this, many people are angry. Many are not in their respective units. We want to start anew to ensure the safety of people's lives and property. So everyone is instructed to join within the next 24 hours Thursday evening.

Admitting that there were operational errors in suppressing the student movement, the IGP said that many people including students, common people and police were killed. I am sorry as IGP for everything.
