40 EC Officials Promoted

The Election Commission (EC) has finally promoted 40 officials to the post of Additional District Election Officers. 

Most of these officers were without promotion for 19 years.

Officials said many of those promoted were appointed as assistant secretaries in 2005. But despite the good ACR, their promotion was held back. Among those promoted, many are working in the EC, some at the field level.

In this notification signed by Assistant Secretary, Manpower Management Wing of EC, Mohammad Shahidur Rahman, the promoted persons have been asked to join through EC Secretary or EC's internal website. 

However, the appointees will remain employed in their respective offices till further instructions.
