A case has been filed against former Chief Justice A.B.M. Khairul Haque on charges of corruption, giving biased and unlawful judgments, and creating false and fraudulent rulings driven by greed.
The case was filed on Tuesday night (August 27) by Supreme Court lawyer Mujahidul Islam Shaheen at Shahbagh police station in the capital.
The case against Justice A.B.M. Khairul Haque has been filed under Sections 219 and 466 of the Penal Code.
On August 26, another case was filed against former Chief Justice and recently resigned Chairman of the Law Commission, A.B.M. Khairul Haque, at the Fatullah Model Police Station in Narayanganj. The case involves allegations of tampering with the verdict that annulled the 13th Amendment to the Constitution and fraud.
The plaintiff in this case is Advocate Abdul Bari Bhuiyan, former President of the Narayanganj District Bar Association and General Secretary of Fatullah Thana BNP. The matter was confirmed by Fatullah Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nur-e-Azam.
