Ex-Minister's Son Arrested With Foreign Pistol

In an operation conducted in Ishwardi, Pabna, RAB-12 arrested Shirhan Sharif Tomal, the younger son of the late former Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif Dilu, the younger brother of former MP Galibur Rahman Sharif, and the President of the Ishwardi Upazila Jubo League.

The arrest took place early Friday morning in the Alobagh area of the town. During the operation, RAB recovered a foreign pistol, a magazine, four rounds of ammunition, 10 pieces of yaba pills, and a private car from him.

Major Ehteshamul Haque Khan, Company Commander of RAB-12, confirmed the information, stating that based on a tip-off, they conducted the raid and seized the pistol, magazine, ammunition, yaba pills, and the car. Tomal was handed over to the Ishwardi Police Station on Friday morning.

Ishwardi Police Station's Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rafiqul Islam reported that a case has been filed with the police based on RAB’s report. Tomal has been sent to the Pabna District Jail through the court.
