Govt Job Seekers Block Shahbagh With Demand To Raise Age Limit

Hundreds of job seekers demonstrated at Dhaka's Shahbagh today, blocking the intersection to demand raising the age limit for government job applications from 30 to 35.

Vehicular movement around Shahbagh came to a standstill since noon, eyewitnesses reported.

The protesters carried a banner urging the chief adviser's attention to their demands.

One protester stated, "The current age limit for civil service applications is 30. We demand it be raised to 35. We've been asking for 14 years but have received no response."
