34 Districts Get New DCs || Photo : Collected
The government has appointed new deputy commissioners to 34 districts. The public administration ministry issued a notification announcing their appointment on Tuesday (September 10).
On Monday (September 9), the government appointed 25 deputy secretaries as deputy commissioners.
The notification states that the following officers of BCS (Administration) cadre have been transferred to the posts mentioned next to their names.
Among these, Finance Department Dr. Manowar Hossain to Manikganj, Deputy Secretary of the Cabinet Division Ali to Tangail, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Mohammad Monir Hossain Howladar to Sirajganj, Tosakhana Unit Director (Deputy Secretary) of the Cabinet Division to Satkhira, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Ashrafur Rahman Jhalkathi, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Mohammad Ashraful Alam Khan to Pirojpur , Deputy Secretary of Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry Mohammad Zahirul Islam to Chuadanga, Deputy Secretary of Internal Resources Department Banani Biswas to Netrakona, Deputy Director of RPATC Manowara Begum to Rajbari, Deputy Wakf Administrator to Wakf Administrator's Office Hashina Begum to Jamalpur, Deputy Secretary to Ministry of Public Administration Abdus Samad to Chapainawabganj, Deputy Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Department Sufia Akhter Rumi to Lakshmipur, Yasmin Akhtar to Madaripur, Deputy Secretary of Public Security Department Mahbubur Rahman to Rajshahi, Deputy Secretary of Public Administration Ministry Mohammad Didarul Alam to Brahmanbaria, Deputy Director of Planning Department Fatema-tul Jannat to Munshiganj , Health Services Department Deputy Secretary Abdul Aziz has been appointed in Shariatpur.
The administrative shuffle comes as the Dr Yunus-led interim government embarks on a mission to reform the country before holding a national election. There have been changes to many senior posts in various sectors since the interim government took charge last month.
