2 Key Suspects Arrested In Lieutenant Tanzim Murder Case

Two key suspects in the murder case of Lieutenant Tanzim Sarwar Nirjon have been arrested by joint forces. The arrests took place at 5:00 AM on Saturday (September 28) in Chakaria.

The arrested individuals are Nasir and his associate Enam. Two homemade weapons and three rounds of ammunition were recovered from them.

According to RAB, the arrested suspects have confessed during preliminary interrogation to being directly involved in the murder. Nasir and two other suspects stabbed Tanzim at the crime scene.

Earlier, on Monday night, a team from the Bangladesh Army went on a weapons recovery operation in Maizpara village of Dulahazara. At around 3:30 AM, upon encountering armed robbers, Lieutenant Tanzim got into a scuffle with them. At one point, the robbers opened fire and attacked Tanzim with a sharp knife. He was injured and later died while being transported to Cox's Bazar.
