Former President and veteran politician A. Q. M. Badruddoza Chowdhury has passed away, and President Mohammad Shahabuddin has expressed deep sorrow and grief over his death.
In a condolence message sent to the media on Saturday (October 5), the President conveyed his condolences.
In the message, the President stated that the loss to the political landscape of the country due to Badruddoza Chowdhury's passing is irreplaceable. He prayed for the peace of the deceased's soul and extended condolences to the bereaved family.
Badruddoza Chowdhury passed away early Saturday at 3:15 AM while undergoing treatment at the medical college he founded, Uttara Women’s Medical College. He was 94 years old at the time of his death, leaving behind his wife, one son, two daughters, and numerous relatives and admirers.
In a press statement, Badruddoza Chowdhury's press secretary Jahangir Alam reported that he was admitted to Uttara Women’s Medical College Hospital on October 2 due to a lung infection. On that day, his daughter, Dr. Shaila Chowdhury, mentioned that her father had been suffering from ischemic heart disease.
Badruddoza Chowdhury was born on October 11, 1930, in Cumilla city.
