The government has decided to extend the Durga Puja holiday by one day. On Tuesday (October 8), an announcement regarding this will be issued, as stated by the special assistant to the Chief Adviser, Mahfuz Alam.
Mahfuz told reporters, “The holiday for the Puja will be extended. There will also be a holiday on Thursday. The announcement will be made today.”
According to the government holiday calendar, the Puja holiday is scheduled for October 13 (Sunday). Additionally, October 11 and 12 (Friday and Saturday) are weekly holidays. With the addition of Thursday, government employees will have a total of four days off for Durga Puja.
Mahfuz also mentioned, “There are domestic and foreign conspiracies taking place in the country, and the government is working to prevent them. The government is diligent in apprehending wrongdoers. No conspirators will be spared.”
