No cases will be filed against the active participants of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, the Ministry of Home Affairs said today (14 October).

No protesters will either be arrested or harassed over their role in the movement during the movement-related incidents between the period of 15 July to 8 August, reads a ministry press statement.

"On 5 August, a new journey of building a new Bangladesh free of discrimination began through the fall of the dictatorial fascist government in the face of the student-mass uprising. The students, who actively participated in the uprising from the streets to make it successful, will not be sued, arrested or harassed over their involvement during the movement between the period of 15 July to 8 August."

The ministry asked authorities concerned to remain highly vigilant in this regard.

"Officials concerned are also being warned against obtaining any advantage by providing false information in this regard," said the press statement.
