Fake Female Doctor Held At Dhaka Medical Again

A fake female doctor has been held at Dhaka Medical College Hospital ( (DMCH) again. Ansar members held the fake female doctor named Papia Akhter Swarna from the nose, ear and throat department of the old building of the hospital on Sunday around 1:15.

PC Mizanur Rahman, platoon commander of DMCH Ansar, said that our patrol team members were patrolling regularly in the morning. At this time, a medical student on the third floor of the old building said that an outsider matching her name was walking around wearing a doctor's apron. When doubting this, Ansar members called the doctors working in that ward and showed the accused woman. But no one recognizes her. Later, the accused woman was taken to the hospital director and deputy director in the administrative building. After that, on their advice, the fake female doctor was handed over to the police.

Accused Papia Akhtar Swarna said that she is the daughter of Anwar Hossain of Arwadia village of Manohardi Sadar in Narsingdi. Currently living in a rented house in Bakshibazar area.

When asked why she came to Dhaka Medical, she said that she came to Dhaka Medical for treatment with a patient she knew.

When asked why she was wearing a doctor's apron, accused Papia Akhter Swarna said, "I made a mistake, I will not do this again in the future. She also said that the apron was made from a tailor's shop."

In this regard, DMC Hospital police camp in-charge (inspector) Md. Faruk said, we have already reported the matter to Shahbag police station. Later she was handed over to Shahbagh police station.

Earlier, on December 24, 2023, Ansar arrested a fake gynaecologist named Munia Khan Roza from DMK Hospital.
