Lawyer Saiful Killing: 6 Suspects Identified

Police have identified six attackers in connection with the murder of lawyer Saiful Islam in Chattogram.

“Police arrested them after scrutinising CCTV footage of the incident,” the chief adviser's office said on Wednesday (November 27).

Earlier, 30 people were detained in connection with the murder case. They were apprehended during raids across Chattogram.

Sanatan Jagaran Mancha spokesperson Chinmoy’s followers clashed with police and vandalised some vehicles when he was being taken to jail from the court. Saiful was hacked to death during this clash.

Saiful is the son of Jalal Uddin of Chattogram’s Lohagara upazila. He was working as an assistant public prosecutor in the metropolitan magistrate court, according to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), police and court sources.
