Dengue Claims 7 More Lives In A Day || Photo : Collected
Dengue has claimed 482 lives so far this year, with seven fatalities in the last 24 hours.
During this time, 837 new patients were hosptialised, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a handout on Thursday (November 20).
Bangladesh has confirmed 90,440 cases this year—63.2 percent male and 36.8 percent female. But 51.5 percent of the deceased are women and 48.5 percent are men.
Three of the latest fatalities were reported in Dhaka.
Currently, 3,325 dengue patients are undergoing treatment in the country, 2,023 outside the capital.
Bangladesh witnessed its worst dengue outbreak last year when it confirmed 321,179 cases and 1,705 fatalities.
