Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus is now holding a meeting with top leaders of the country’s major political parties, including BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami, intending to build national unity to get rid of the prevailing situation.
The Chief Adviser has begun talks with leaders of political parties and student organizations on several issues, including the evolving situation following the arrest of ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das and India's role in this connection.
As part of the dialogue, Yunus held a meeting with the political leaders at the State Guest House Jamuna that began around 4 pm on Wednesday.
A 12-member delegation of BNP, Jamaat and Ganatantra Manch took part in the meeting to discuss the contemporary issues.
The Chief Adviser will hold another meeting with leaders of religious communities on Thursday and is expected to call for building strong national unity to face the upcoming challenges in rebuilding the country.
Earlier on Tuesday night, Yunus held a meeting with the leaders of the student organisation and after ending the meeting he told the media that the students have turned the impossible into possible.
“You (students) have achieved a victory, and another one is sure to come soon,” he said in his concluding remark during the meeting.
