Dengue: 5 More Die, 629 Hospitalised In 24 Hours

Five more dengue patients died and 629 were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the last 24 hours till this morning.

This was informed in the dengue report by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Wednesday (December 4).

The report mentions that 204 dengue patients were hospitalized in Dhaka City Corporation areas and the rest were admitted to hospitals outside in the last 24 hours. During this period, 752 people were discharged from the hospital.

So far this year, 94,314 people have been admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Out of this, 91,374 patients got clearance. Besides, 509 people died due to the deadly disease.

Mentioned that 321,179 patients were infected with dengue and 1,705 people died in 2023 which is the highest in the history of the country.
