The fire at the Secretariat may have been planned, Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer (PO) Aminul Islam said.
He made the comment while talking to reporters after inspecting the fire site at Building No. 7 of the Secretariat on Thursday (December 26).
Aminul Islam said, “The fire at the Secretariat may have been planned. Because the fire broke out on the sixth floor, the ninth floor and in between. In this way, fires never originate from short circuits at different places. It could have been planned.”
After the fire at the Secretariat, a Navy team was deployed to the scene to assist the Fire Service. Aminul Islam is one of that team.
He told reporters, “Everything where the fire broke out has burned down. We have not been able to identify everything yet, but we will. Our Navy team is here, working.”
Why does it seem like a planned fire? When asked, Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer Aminul Islam said, “Short circuit fires originate from one place, they do not spread to all places at once. "This fire broke out in several places at once. There is good reason to suspect that it was a planned fire."
