Student Dies After Being Hit By Auto Rickshaw In Dhaka

A college student has died after being hit by an auto rickshaw in Mugda area in the capital.

The deceased was known as Adil Arham Sium, 18, son of Akram Hossain. He was student of Abudharr Ghifari College.

Sources said the accident took place around 8:30pm on Sunday (January 5). Later, locals sent him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead around 10:00pm.

Nazrul Islam, a jaywalker said the victim was crossing the area by a motorcycle in a high speed. Meanwhile, an auto rickshaw hit him from opposite direction, leaving him critically injured.

DMCH police camp in-charge Inspector Mohammad Faruk said the body was kept at the hospital morgue.
