13Km Tailback On Dhaka-Chattogram Highway

A 13-kilometre-long tailback formed on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway on Friday morning. It stretched at the highway's Gazaria part of Munshiganj.

The situation remained unchanged as of filing this report at 11:30 am.

Highway police said a covered van lost control and overturned on the Comilla-bound road in the Gouripur area of the Dhaka-Chittagong highway around 7:30 am. The traffic jam is developed as the removal process of the crashed van takes time.

Bhaberchar highway police outpost In-Charge Humayun Kabir said that usually the pressure of traffic jam is seen on weekly holiday. Besides, an accident occurred in the Gauripur area this morning. As a result, there was a slow movement of vehicles on the road.
