Six people injured in the July uprising have been sent to Thailand for better treatment.

They were sent on a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at 11am on Wednesday (January 29).

The injured are Mohammad Israfil, 15, Roman Dhali, 17, and Tahsin Hossain, 13. All three were shot and wounded during the protests. They were undergoing treatment at CMH and Dhaka Medical College Hospital 

Mohammad Israfil was shot in the left hand, resulting in complete nerve damage and a bone fracture. He is being sent mainly for robotic physiotherapy.

Roman Dhali and Tahsan Hossain were shot in the back. They suffered spinal cord injuries. They are unable to walk and are being sent mainly for robotic physiotherapy.

On the other hand, Rajib, 36, who was undergoing treatment at DMCH, was shot in the head but was sent to Thailand as his condition did not improve even after an operation.

Mizanur Rahman was shot in the face. Hafizur Rahman Habib suffered a spinal cord injury. He has been sent to Bangkok Hospital for robotic physiotherapy.

Imran Hossain and Mohiuddin, who were injured in the July Movement, were sent to Singapore Hospital on Tuesday for treatment of their eyes. Earlier, seven people were sent to Singapore for eye treatment.
