Journalist Monir Haider has been appointed as the Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government Dr Muhammad Yunus. A notification regarding his appointment was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday (February 5), with the rank of Senior Secretary.
This information was given in a notification signed by Abul Hayat Md. Rafiq, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration.
It said that he has been appointed as Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor (Consensus Building) on a contractual basis at the rank of Senior Secretary for a period of six months from the date of joining on the condition of renouncing any other profession, business or employment relationship with government, semi-government, private institution/organization.
It also said that other conditions of this appointment will be determined by the contract.
Monir Haider is currently abroad but is expected to return to the country soon and assume his new role.
