Recommended Primary Teachers Protesting Again In Shahbagh

The candidates of the third phase of government primary school assistant teacher recruitment, whose recruitment was cancelled, are still protesting in Shahbagh today.

The candidates have been in front of the Shahbag National Museum since 8 am today, Wednesday. They are staying here till the time of writing this report.

The protesters say that they spent the night in front of the Press Club and came here in the morning. They will not withdraw their sit-in program until their demands are met.

As a result, the recommended candidates have been protesting for the seventh consecutive day.

During this time, they chanted slogans like 'Who is recommending, this government is this government', 'Who am I, who are you, teacher, teacher' etc.

In addition, they displayed various placards including 'Either take my job, or take my life', 'Either job, or death'.

The recommended primary assistant teachers have been holding a sit-in protest in Shahbagh, behind the Press Club and Shaheed Minar, since February 6.
