Fire At Islambagh Residential Building

A fire has broken out at a residential building in the capital’s Islambagh area.

Eight firefighting units are working to douse the fire, said the Fire Service Headquarters.

The fire broke out around 3:15pm on Saturday (February 15).

Firefighters arrived at the scene at 3:25pm after the blaze was reported around 3:17pm.

Two units of the Lalbagh Fire Station rushed to the spot after receiving information. Later, several more units from Hazaribagh, Palashi, Siddique Bazar were deployed to the spot.

The cause of the fire and extent of damage could not be known immediately.
