The High Court has ordered to complete the trial process of the Magura child rape case within the next six months.
Justice Farah Mahbub and Justice Debasish Roy Chowdhury’s bench today (March 9) instructed the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal to implement the order.
Besides, the court also ordered to appoint a social service officer to take care of the child's family.
Meanwhile, the court also ordered the immediate removal of all photos of the victim from social media.
The 8-year-old was raped at her sister's house in Magura on March 6. Currently, she is undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
She was initially taken to Magura Sadar Hospital and later transferred to Faridpur Medical College Hospital. From there, she was taken to Dhaka as her condition deteriorated.
