ACC Approves Charge Sheets Against Hasina, Family

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has greenlighted charge sheets of six cases filed against deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members over irregularities in allocating plots in RAJUK’s Purbachal New Town project.

Hasina misused her power and allocated six plots, each 10 kathas, in the diplomatic zone of Sector 27 in Purbachal based on political considerations, ACC Director General Akhtar Hossain said on December 26.

These plots were allotted for Hasina, her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, daughter Saima Wazed Putul, younger sister Sheikh Rehana, Rehana's son Radwan Mujib Siddiq Bobby and daughter Azmina Siddiq.

In September last year, 10 Supreme Court lawyers filed a writ petition with the High Court seeking cancellation of the allocation.
