Aminbazar Power Grid In Savar Catches Fire

A fire broke out at the Aminbazar 400/230 kV Substation in Savar on Tuesday morning. The blaze started at the grid around 7:15 am.

Nine firefighting units are working to bring the fire under control, said Jewel Mia, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station.

A statement from the Fire Service's media cell said, the fire service received a report of a fire at the Amin Bazar power grid at around 7:15 am. Five minutes later, a unit immediately reached the spot. As the fire became dangerous, eight more units rushed to the spot.

The fire brigade is working to put out the fire till the time of receiving the report. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage were not immediately known.
