Eid Advance Train Ticket Sale Begins Today

The sale of advance train tickets will begin today (March 14), and will continue till March 20 on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

All tickets will be sold online, a Railway Ministry notice said.

The passengers can buy advance tickets for March 24 on March 14, for March 25 on March 15, for March 26 on March 16, for March 27 on March 17, for March 28 on March 18, for March 29 on March 19, and for March 30 on March 20, according to the notice.

The decisions were taken at an inter-ministerial meeting held at the capital's Bidyut Bhaban on March 9, said Bangladesh Railway director general Afzal Hossain.

Muhammad Fawzul Kabir Khan, Adviser to the Ministry of Railways, Md. Fahimul Islam, Secretary to the Ministry of Railways, and Ehsanul Haque, Senior Secretary to the Road Transport and Highways Department attended the meeting.

The return tickets for March 31, and April 1 and 2 will be sold subject to Moon sighting.
