UN Chief Departs Dhaka After Four-Day Visit || Photo : Collected

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres left Dhaka after a four-day visit. He left Shahjalal International Airport at 9:55 am on Sunday.

Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Environmental Advisor, and Khalilur Rahman, High Representative of the Chief Advisor on the Rohingya Crisis, bid farewell to Guterres at the airport.

Before leaving Bangladesh, Guterres spoke with Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus over the phone and exchanged farewell greetings.

During his visit, the UN Secretary-General held meetings with the Chief Advisor and other high-ranking officials. On the second day of his trip, he visited Cox’s Bazar, where he shared an Iftar meal with 100,000 Rohingya refugees.

Additionally, Guterres participated in a roundtable discussion with members of the National Consensus Commission, political leaders, Bangladeshi youth, and representatives of civil society.
