It is learned that on December 14, 2017, the High Court gave a verdict on the appointment. There were several points in that verdict. But the petitioners complained of contempt of court as the verdict was not implemented in two years. After hearing their application, the High Court issued a rule in 2019. 

While this rule is under consideration, NTRCA issued a public notification for appointment to 54 thousand posts. The petitioners then filed a petition to stop the appointment. On May 6, the High Court ordered the suspension of the third public notice on the basis of their application. The court also directed to recommend the appointment of those who went to the court from the first to the 12th registration examination within seven days.

The High Court then directed the NTRCA to recommend the appointment of the certificate holders and applicants for contempt who passed the registration test on May 31 within four weeks as per the directions of the High Court. NTRCA then appealed against the verdict. On the basis of this appeal, the Appellate Division dismissed the petitioners' application. This removes all barriers to teacher recruitment.
