Language Soldier Zahid Hossain Musa Memorial Book Unveiling Ceremony Held

On the occasion of Martyr's Day and International Mother Language Day, the cover of the commemorative book 'Sada Moner Manus Bhashasainik Zahid Hossain Musa' has been unveiled in memory of language soldier Zahid Hossain Musa.

On Monday evening (February 27) the commemorative book was unveiled at the foot of the Central Shaheed Minar organized by Jhenaidah district administration. 

Freedom Fighter Abdul Hai, Member of Parliament of Jhenaidah-1 Constituency and District Awami League President, was present as the chief guest at the event. Deputy Commissioner Monira Begum presided over the event.

Md. Nasser Shahrear Zahedee, Executive Director of Zahedee Foundation, was also present as a guest.

Deputy Director of Local Government Yarul Islam, Jhenaidah Municipality, Jhenaidah Municipality Mayor Quayum Shahriar Zahedee (Hijol) and Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Abdur Rashid were also present.

Md. Nasser Shahrear Zahedee, executive director of Zahedee Foundation said, "We speak Bengali because of the language movement. Today, Bengali is recognized as the international mother tongue. The whole world knows Bangladesh by one name, only because of the language movement."

He also said that the practice of the Bengali language should be increased properly. The new generation should be told the correct history. Language should be respected.

The former principal of Govt. Keshavchandra College, BM Rezaul Karim, and Professor of Bengali Department of Islamic University, Rabiul Hossain were also present as spokespersons. 

At the end of the discussion meeting, a wonderful cultural program was organized.
