The holy night of Shab-e-Meraj will be observed on February 14. Based on the sighting of the moon, the Hijri year 1446 Ramadan is expected to begin on March 1 or March 2. Accordingly, the Islamic Foundation has set the timetable for sehri (pre-dawn meal) and iftar (breaking of the fast).

On January 27, the Islamic Foundation finalized the sehri and iftar schedule for Ramadan 1446 Hijri.

The last time for sehri has been set 3 minutes before Subh-e-Sadiq (the beginning of dawn) as a precaution. Similarly, the Fajr prayer time has been set 3 minutes after Subh-e-Sadiq.

According to the schedule published by the Islamic Foundation, on March 2, the first day of Ramadan, the last time for sehri in Dhaka will be 5:04 AM, and the iftar time will be 6:02 PM.

However, depending on the distance from Dhaka, people in different regions of the country will adjust their sehri and iftar times by adding or subtracting up to 9 minutes, as informed by the Islamic Foundation.

The Islamic Foundation has also stated that, as a precaution, the Fajr azan should be called 6 minutes after the end of sehri, and the iftar time has been set 3 minutes after sunset as a safety measure.
