Allocation of Education for Next FY Increases of Tk 9,500Cr

In the upcoming 2022-23 fiscal year, the total allocation in the education sector under the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education and the Ministry of Education is increasing. A total allocation of Tk 9,495 crore has been proposed for the coming financial year as compared to the current fiscal year.

A total allocation of Tk 81,449 crore has been proposed for these two ministries in the coming fiscal year. Tk 71,954 crore was allocated for the current year.

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal mentioned this in his budget speech for the fiscal year 2022-23 in the Jatiya Sangsad on Thursday (June 9).

It has been proposed to allocate Tk 31,761 crore for the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education in the upcoming fiscal year. Tk 26,314 crore was allocated for the current fiscal year. An allocation of Tk 39,961 crore has been proposed for the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education. 36 thousand 487 crore was made for this year.

An allocation of Tk 9,727 crore has been proposed for the Technical and Madrasa Education Department of the Ministry of Education. The current financial year was allocated Tk 9 thousand 153 crore.
