Bangladesh Bank has decided the banks to remain closed across the country next Sunday and Wednesday due to the increase in coronavirus infection. For the remaining three days of the week, transactions will take place at the bank from 10 am to 2.30 pm.
The Central Bank's off-site supervision department issued the directive in a circular.
Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank Abu Farah Md Naser confirmed the information on Wednesday (July 28).
He said that at present, amid this Coronavirus situation in the country, banking services are available in a limited range due to the strict lockdown announced by the government. Even after this, Bangladesh Bank has taken this decision so that the prevalence of coronavirus can be brought under control.

two days till August 5. However, on other days when the bank will be open, clienteles
will be able to transact till 2.30 pm.
