Fahim Ahmed Named Pathao’s New MD, CEO

Digital services and ride-sharing platform Pathao has appointed Fahim Ahmed as managing director and chief executive officer with immediate effect, reports media.

Fahim, who joined Pathao in early 2018 as the chief financial officer, replaced co-founder Hussain Elius, a press release said on Monday.

Since mid-2020, Fahim, as the president of Pathao, has been overseeing the day-to-day operations and executing the company’s strategy to address the accelerating demand for digital services during the pandemic.

Fahim Ahmed graduated from Middlebury College in the US and brings more than 18 years of experience in finance, investment and operations in Bangladesh, South Asia and the US, read the release.
