Daily essential prices are continuously increasing in the market. A slight decrease in one item's price leads to an increase in others. Prices for raw chili, potato, and onion have soared. However, fish and poultry prices have dropped slightly. Today, Friday, June 28, various markets in the capital city showed such trends.

In Karwan Bazaar, Rajshahi Bazaar, Hatirpool, and Sutrapur Bazaar, beef is being sold at Tk 800 per kg, up from Tk 750 last week. Additionally, goat meat is being sold for Tk 1,050 to Tk 1,200 per kg, and mutton is being sold for Tk 1,000. Furthermore, broiler chicken is being sold for Tk 170 to Tk 180 per kg. Country chicken is priced at Tk 700 to Tk 730, white layer at Tk 290, and red layer at Tk 350 per kg. Sonali chicken is being sold for Tk 300 to Tk 320 per kg.

In the last week, broiler chicken prices have dropped by up to Tk 10 per kg. They are being sold for Tk 170 to Tk 175 this week compared to Tk 180 to Tk 185 last week. Sonali chicken is priced at Tk 310 to Tk 320 per kg in these markets. Sonali hybrid costs Tk 300, country chicken Tk 680 to Tk 700, layer chicken Tk 300, and white layer Tk 290 per kg.

Regarding fish, prices have decreased slightly compared to other products. Big shrimp are being sold at Tk 600 to Tk 650 per kg, down from up to Tk 700 last week. Hilsa fish is being sold for Tk 450 to Tk 500 per kg. Additionally, pabda fish is at Tk 160, tilapia at Tk 220, carp fish at Tk 260, rohu fish at Tk 350, mola fish at Tk 280, and koi fish at Tk 200 per kg.

In the vegetable market, desi onions have increased by Tk 10 per kg this week. Last week, onions were sold at Tk 90 per kg. Potatoes are being sold at Tk 65 per kg, up by Tk 5 from last week. Green chili has seen a decrease of Tk 200 per kg compared to last week. However, all types of vegetables remain stable in the market this week.

In these markets, all types of vegetables are stable in price range this week. Kochur mukhi is at Tk 80 per kg, brinjal at Tk 50 to Tk 60, bitter gourd at Tk 60, pointed gourd at Tk 80, parwal at Tk 40, ribbed gourd at Tk 40, snake gourd at Tk 80, zucchini at Tk 40 to Tk 50, papaya at Tk 60 per kg, sponge gourd at Tk 50 to Tk 60, ridge gourd at Tk 60, taro at Tk 80, ginger at Tk 70, and beans at Tk 160 per kg.

Cauliflower is priced at Tk 40 to Tk 50 each, cabbage at Tk 40 to Tk 50, broccoli at Tk 40 per piece, ripe tomatoes at Tk 70 to Tk 80 per kg, and carrots at Tk 80 per kg. Lemon peel is priced between Tk 10 to Tk 40, coriander leaves at Tk 350 to Tk 400 per kg, banana flower at Tk 40, and sweet pumpkin at Tk 40 to Tk 50 per kg.
