Gold Prices Hiked Again, Effective From Monday

The Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (Bajus) has hiked gold prices per bhori (11.664 grams) by Tk 1,609 to Tk 1,18,891 for 22-carat gold.

The new prices will be in effect from Monday. Bajus informed this information in a circular on Sunday evening.

According to Bajus notification, the price of acid gold (pure gold) has increased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation.

According to the new prices, per bhori of 21-carat gold at Tk113,490, 18-carat gold at Tk 97,277, and traditional gold at Tk 80,423.

Meanwhile, the price of silver remains unchanged.

This year, the price of gold has been adjusted 31 times in the country's market. Where the price increased 16 times, and decreased 15 times. This price was adjusted 29 times last year.
